It has been another year of growth - as regards exhibition area and number of visitors

2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany gives opportunity for promotion of new technologies of broadcasting TV programs. The tournament will be covered by HDTV transmissions, as well as by DVB-H and IP-TV broadcasts.
In all, though, a general impression remains that producers of the presented equipment do not believe in huge demand - they have offered a modest assortment of HDTV receivers and other equipment. So this year in Europe the technology will still be on a trial basis.
There is no doubt that manufacturers from Asia have dominated the whole market of consumer electronics, but as regards professional devices for building SMATV, MATV or cable TV systems (headend stations, distribution/building amplifiers etc.) American and European companies are still going strong. Chinese producers have only shown rather simple elements for completing this kind of networks - splitters, taps, connectors, cables, tools.

Italian company Rover presented family of measuring instruments for installers, among others, DVB-T meter with spectrum analyzer.

The new instrument from Promax - TV Explorer also enjoyed popularity among visitors.

Famaval company, manufacturer of satellite dishes, showed new way of mounting a dish, which shortens work time.

Terra launched new series of multiswitches cooperating with 4 converters . They will probably be available commercially (also in our online shop) from September 2006. There are also in preparation new devices from MSR-9xx series (for two converters), analogical to currently being sold MSR-5xx items suitable for single converters.

Golden Interstar is preparing a new family of LNBs.

There were several companies showing IPTV solutions. Ocilion presented a complete system, performing Multicast transmissions.

Maniacs of "exotic" satellites could also find collector's items - low noise, high gain converters.

DVB-T repeater GAF-860 is the "youngest child" of Telkom-Telmor. It should be used in places where direct signal of DVB-T is too low for proper reception, e.g. in underground parking lots. It is in fact low power DVB-T transmitter.
