The tap is used in multiswitch installations for making branches of the bus. The bus carrying signals from one Quatro LNB consists of four cables. Additionally, the tap also provides terrestrial TV signals. The tap is equipped with DC-transition switch that in "ON" position runs current through "H" paths both in the branch and through path. In "OFF" position it is possible only in the branch.
