The number of SK-40s depends on the distance separating cameras from power supply and whether the cameras are equipped with thermostats. The ZK-40/16 is powered by AC 24V/2A from its own independent power source (TTS-80 mains transformer). The ZK-40/16 power supply unit feeds the line with non-stabilized ca.30V DC which passes to SK-40 stabilizer M1831 . The stabilizer delivers stable DC 12V, which is used for powering cameras with thermostats. SK-40/16 has internal fuse and power-ON LED.
On the assumption that camera and thermostat current consumption is 250 mA and 500mA respectively, the power may be delivered over the following distances:
