FERGUSON FK-7000 is the successor of the very popular FK-6900 CR model. The 7000 model includes several improvements and innovations, such as HDMI and LAN interfaces. The DVB-S receiver allows reception of FTA and encrypted channels (built-in smart card reader). Due to a more efficient processor, the time needed e.g. for switching over to another channel is considerably shorter. Other advantages of this model include USB interface on the front panel, allowing connection of an external hard drive for recording TV programs and using TimeShift function. Similarly to the predecessor, the optical digital audio output (SPDIF) ensures high quality sound.
The built-in multimedia player can play music, pictures, movies. It is compatible with the following formats: MP3, OGG, JPEG, MPEG, Xvid.
